FIROSTEFANI HOTELS
IRA HOTEL
Centuries ago, a volcanic eruption followed by a devastating explosion sculptured the sharp cliffs and brought about this unique spectacle of Santorini, the Caldera.
On this sunlit island, Santorini, one of the most beautiful islands in the world, in the picturesque village of Firostefani, one can find Ira Hotel. Situated a quiet and tranquil location, in close vecinity to the volcano and perched high on the very edge of the Caldera, the hotel offers a spectacular panoramic view of the volcanic isles, the far horizon and the deep blue sea.
We have built, rennovated and upgraded, with all respect to the local architecture, a complex of luxurious, traditionally styled apartments and suites, Ira Hotel.
LOCATION:
Ira Hotel is built in a quite and tranquil location in the picturesque village of Firostefani on the island of Santorini, on the edge of the Caldera cliff, 200 m above the Aegean Sea, opposite the volcano, with a panoramic view of the island of Thirassia, the small volcanic islets and the magical sunset.
From the capital, Fira it is a few minutes walking distance by the path on the edge of the Caldera enjoying the view along the way. At a close distance are restaurants and cafeterias, and at a close walking distance are the bus stop, a public parking area and a mini market.
ACCOMMODATION:
Ira Hotel is a complex of traditional rooms and suites comprised of 2 buildings, the Caldera View building and the Village Dwellings.
Each room is unique, decorated with style and luxury, offering moments of relaxation and recreation.
Caldera View
The Caldera View building was renovated in 2007 - it is built on different levels following the cliffs descending incline. In a perfect blend of luxury, comfort and tradition, all the rooms are elegantly furnished and decorated with the amenities of a modern complex.
Each room bears the name of a god of ancient Greek mythology and is accordingly decorated.
In the caldera building the standard rooms are on the swimming pool level and have a private veranda and shower in the marble walled bathrooms. The superior rooms and suites are on the upper floor, built mostly in split levels with a private balcony and a whirlpool hot water bathtub.
Traditional Dwellings
The Traditional Village Dwellings were built in 2007. Traditional Santorinian architecture looks on to a terrace with local pottery, flowers and corners with relaxing sofas, tables and candle lights.
The village dwelling rooms have the characteristic domed ceiling of Santorini and are furnished with antiques and old embroideries and bathrooms equipped with showers of glass mosaic walls.
