In Akrotiri, on the beach and next to the sea you can find the tavern Nikolas Cave.
Here in this cave, where once Nicholas and his friends came to enjoy the fish and wine. It was Spyros Marinatos, head of the excavation at Akrotiri, which prompted Nicholas to build a tavern here.
Today, his descendants are offering genuine, Santorini cuisine of incredible taste and mastery. Mrs Margarita makes the best tomato balls of the island, while the vegetable gardens of the family feed the tavern with fresh, local produced tomatoes, white eggplant, fava.
Also famous is the moussaka of Margarita with white eggplant and the seafood tomato, salted cod with instruments.
Fish is great also here. Fresh fish either grilled or pan in awesome whence spring without a trace of oil. And all of them on the sea!
