A small community on the island of Santorini has a unique duty: that of preserving the tradition of vine growing. We follow two vine growers and one wine maker, during a year of work in the vineyards and the winery. Nikos Pelekanos, Christos Dalmiras and Paris Sigalas are facing issues, due, not only to the current financial climate: Santorini vineyard, may be the oldest in Europe, meanwhile, it is threatened with extinction, compromised by all the more profitable and ever-growing activity in construction and tourism. In the end, and despite the obstacles, the community achieves a harmonious coexistence through a commonly shared reality: that of vine growing and wine drinking.
