I just got back a week ago from Greece - stayed in Fira in Santorini and stumbled into Ernesto. I agree with everyone else that the woman who was running the store and is owner (I guess that must be Anita?) is absolutely wonderful, and does obviously pour her heart into her work. The creations at Ernesto are the msot unique works of art/souvenirs we found in Greece - a little pricier than your typical souvenir, but worth every penny. We bought a carving from olive wood of a little town, and you just have to see it to understand how one of a kind and beautiful it is. You must stop and see this store if you are in Fira!!

I loved this store! I bought a leather potpourri bowl for my mom and she loved it. The store owner was so nice. I could tell she poured her heart and soul into her works. A true artist!

I was in Santorini last May, visited Ernesto and was really amazed. The fact that all the creations are unique is quite obvious. I travel all the time and never found something similar anywhere in the world. Anita is charming, it's true, but only a cousin can't see that she is handling something magnificent. Not gifts, but artifacts! I promised I'll be back and on a greater budget...
