Hand made icons by Katerina Ioannidou according to the traditional Byzantine tecnique on old wood boards with egg tempera and 24 gold. Faithfull reproductions of 15th - 16th and 17th century icons as well as of Byzantine ornamental pieces can be found at the painter's workshop located at the Megaron Gyzi Museum (opposite the Roman Catholic Cathedral), a fine speciment of 17th century local architecture.
Katerina Ioannidou lives and works in Santorini. A permament exhibition of her works can be seen in the Megaron Gyzi Museum. She has studied painting and acting and has participated in many exhibition in Greece and acting and has participated in many exhibitions in Greece and abroad. Her works are to be found in private collection all over the world.
