From May 1926 until January 1928 there was a pause, which was followed by four explosions followed by another explosion that created the Nautilus Dome. This dome is no longer visible for it was covered by lava produced during the next stage of activity.

A small volcanic islet of the Santorini volcano which was created in the eruption of 1928. It is located north of the islet of Dafni and the islet of Georgiou I. It has a typical beauty with a diameter from 100 to 110 m and 65 to 80 km long and the elevation from 10 to 15.

Named after the famous volcano dome, Nautilus Dome Suites & Apartments is situated directly opposite of it, on caldera\'s edge, and only 2 km from the noisy center of Fira.

Its location, in the heart of the island, assures a breathtaking volcano view and a panorama of the rest of the island.

Nautilus premises combine modern design and architecture with the unique architectural characteristics of the two traditional villages of the island, Messaria and Pirgos.

In about 2.000 m2 of built area, structures and colours have their way of creating a worth visiting unique environment. Renovated in 2010-11 the hotel offers a promising comfort in its spacious junior and family suites. The set of buildings consists of several comfortable studios-apartments, a cafe-bar and a restaurant.
