La Maltese, a brand new restaurant that has redently opened in Imerovigli, Santorini.
On the highest point of Caldera, in Imerovigli, with an incredible view and next to the Church of Maltese, you will find the restaurant La Maltese.
More than just a restaurant, its verandas are both a cafe and bar with amazing views of Santorini, the volcano, Thirasia and the gorgeous and anchantnig sunsets that will captivate anyone that might see them.
In the vacant spot where a 2 story neoclassic building, wich was destroyed in the earthquake of 1956, once stood the archtect Ilias Apostolidis in co-operationswith Gianni Tsekleni designed a single story building, true to the classical Greek architectural style, it is surely the jewel of Imerovigli.
Giannis Tseklenis, who organized and oversaw everything done to the last detail, held the responsibility of designing the interior and exterior of the building and the decor.
The owners of the restaurant Giorgo Bouricos and his wife Maggie, who believed in Ginni Tsekleni to create this exceptional place and spent a small fortune in ensuring that the La Maltese is equipped with everything it might need.
In the kitchen - one of the most beautifull and equipped - was handed over to the winner of the 1998 Golden Chef\'s Hat, Chef Grald Barbier who has created a Mediterranian menu with many Greek elements but exempt of anything folklore.
An exceptional list of mostly Greek wines together with Cuban cigars, complete your meal.
As well as out a la carte menu we specialize in weddings, receptions and other large party events.
