In Santorini, you don't really spend alot of time in your room. For us, we enjoyed our stay in Rocabella. The staff, truly, were fantastic....so nice and helpful. The pool area was very cool and the views were outstanding. My fiance and I really enjoyed the hiking every day along the caldera footpaths to Imerovigli, Firostefani and Fira. It was great for us to get the exercise to offset all the yummy food we ate. We found our room very fun and charming. We knew beforehand to have low expectations on the small bathroom so we were fine with it and ours was not smelly (we were in the Samson & Deliah room). Our bedroom loft was fun (although going down the ladder in the middle of the night in the dark was tricky). I would recommend this hotel for young adventurous travelers who love to hike, are not too picky and can go with the flow.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. Hotel facilities were nice: pools, outside bar, gym, free internet. The hotel location was a bit away from the main town though, so need to rent a car.

Peaceful upmarket self-catering choice with fine sweeping views. Fairly spacious, and with good range of facilities. All rooms with balcony or terrace. Car may be useful. A lot of leisure activities are offered such as tennis, basketball and billiards. Great food at it own restaurant. 2 rectangular pools (15 yds) in separate terraces, both with loungers and parasols, one with poolside bar/snack bar and raised shaded seating. Quiet second terrace overlooked by clifftop path.
