My husband and I would like to thank the Syrigos Nikolos family (owners of Volcano Villas) for the wonderful and extraordinary care they gave us this June when we stayed at their villa for four nights. Just prior to arriving at the villa, my husband's wallet was either lost or stolen. The Nikolos family turned what could have been a vacation nightmare into a vacation by helping us to survive until we could fully activate our one remaining credit card which was not in my husband's wallet. As a result we were able to go ahead with our vacation plans. It is this kind of personal care that exemplifies everything about Volcano Villas. The owners live by the motto we heard repeatedly stated by the father and his two adult sons "No problem". Indeed they help you to leave your problems behind. Our unit was just as lovely as all of the already submitted photos indicate. My husband and I are 70, yet the distance and steps did not deter us. The location has the distinct advantage of providing both a constant deck view of the caldera, and a western view of spectacular sunsets from the front. Great and imaginative care has been given to the surroundings and you sense the pride they have in maintaining and adding to the beauty of the area with many artistic touches they have added themselves. Our breakfast was always very good with that wonderful Greek yogurt and served in a very pleasant room where it is easy to meet and converse with other guests if you choose or you can go out to the terrace area and enjoy the view of the caldera and the peace and quiet of the area. The woman serving the breakfast was pleasant, but it is important to realize that she speaks only Greek. While another reviewer found her to be cold, I think they misinterpreted her silence. We left Santorini feeling that we not only had spent four nights in a lovely villa, but had met a charming, warm, gracious and caring family that literally will go the extra mile for the comfort of their guests.

Our family stayed at the Volcano Villas Oia in June 2005 and found no fault with the hotel. The view is nothing short of spectacular and the pool area is a beautiful spot to either cool off or sit and enjoy the view. Both off the studios we had were both clean and well maintained with private balconies and of course with the spectacular view. Each had a kitchenette with good size fridge. The staff were friendly and helpful. The only problem for some people would be that it is a 10-15 minute walk to Oia. However if you wanted you can catch a bus to Oia (also to Thira) for 1EU from the bus stop straight out the front. Because of its location it is exceptionally quiet. There is a restuarant across the road with a small market 200 meters away. There are more markets a short distance further down the road. We found no fault with the cleanliness of sheets or towels and definately no bugs as as stated in one of the other reviews. Booked on the internet for 95EU per studio we found it exceptional value for this standard of hotel. A hotel definately worth considering.

anyone considering staying at volcanos villas should not hesitate a moment longer. We stayed at this establishment in July 2002, and can't say enough about it, in fact we're starting to plan another holiday there, and taking our 4 children. The scenery is out-of-this world!!! We call it "our corner of paradise!!!!!!!" Nikos and his son a very helpful, and the apartments very comfortable, with views to die for from your bedroom! Can't wait to visit again!
