This is the first restaurant you come across on the Karavolades Steps and the View is why we stopped here. We ordered 2 vanilla milkshakes and while waiting they brought over 2 bottles of water that they opened and poured out for us ( we presumed they were complimentary as we hadn’t ordered them ) . After waiting 10mins plus for 2 milkshakes my partner was watching the bar to see when they were coming. To his horror he watched the Barman pour half a tin of milk and half tap water into the glasses. When he questioned the waitress as to what they had done they proceeded to lie about it. We walked out refusing to drink them and at this point we were handed a bill for the water we hadn’t ordered. If you don’t want food poisoning or to be conned / ripped off I would 100% AVOID

Horrible Food and a Big Con Game. The only good thing related to this restaurant is that the view is beautiful; but you can get a beautiful view at other eateries too. Restaurant staff and or owners stand by door telling passers-by that they serve wonderful fresh caught fish. Wait staff seemed uninterested and bored. The people at Katrin Gallery have no idea at all how to cook good food. The food is over salted, stale, and ridiculously over priced. We ordered the whole fish which the waiter pushed and insisted was caught that same day. The fish tasted ok but had no seasoning at all. We ordered the shrimp appetizer which was overcooked, oversalted and not fresh. We only partially ate one shrimp and when we told the waiter that they were really bad, he said nothing and we still got charged for those terrible shrimp. There were 7 of us and two were kids that ordered a pasta dish. We ordered 5 alcoholic drinks, a couple of dips and a large traditional greek salad and each had an entree and the total was 1100 Euros. These guys pull a bait and switch and give you the most expensive fish of the \"chef\'s specialty\" menu, even when you order a less expensive one. When we asked them why our whole fish was so expensive they made it sound as if we had ordered the \"specialty\" when we knew we hadn\'t. Katrin Gallery is an embarrasment to the island of Santorini and they should close down. There are many other wonderful restaurants in Fira. Avoid this palce at all costs!!!

Avoid this restaurant at all costs. The Katrin Gallery is a scam designed to rob tourists. They used clever sales tactics to entice us in then we were subjected to the most appalling restaurant experience ever. This restaurant is very very expensive (100 euro for one small serving of very tough lamb as a main, one very small salad, 1 side of bread, 1 glass of local beer and 1 house wine). The food is also of very poor quality and the service is equally bad. When we disputed the bill, the waiter became incredibly aggressive. There are many lovely restaurants on Santorini but our experience with Katin Gallery spoiled our time there.

I visited Santorini In June 2007. I just want to say I hated this restaurants food. I dont mind spending money on a good meal but this meal was shocking that I had there. Everything that was listed on thier menu was not available. They only wanted to feed us what they wanted which was FISH FISH FISH...when they brought out the food it was awful with no taste what so ever. 83 euros later and still hungry I was a little pissed of to be honest. So if you are after some thing tasty ...dont go there..Its a rip off...

Food was not eatable, starter for € 22.00 ; potatosalad tasted like fish, bread served for € 4.00 per person was old and retoastet, stinky old scampis,fluffy potatos, grilled vegetable covered with oilsauce, chickensteak was too salty,TERRIBLE, we had to return the food and payed for this € 164.00 for 4 persons and the waiter asked for a tip! Prices are a unbounded cheek.Never ever again

Beautyfull place but horrible service. Dishes okay but too expensive for nothing. There are much more nicer places in Fira than this. The maitr is behaving with racism to the clients who do not eat his fish. The waiters might forgot you, they prefer to serve the ones who are having fish. Dont go there if you are going to have pasta. Just order the fish wich will cost you 100 euros per person.
